About DNA

David Newby Associates (DNA) was established by David Newby in 1987.  Since then DNA has been active in more than 25 countries and has been involved in more than 100 hazardous waste projects.

Our first project was a feasibility study for development of a hazardous waste treatment facility for Hong Kong.  The three-month feasibility study led to a succession of projects supporting the Hong Kong government over seven years, culminating in overseeing the commissioning and initial operation of the CWTC facility.  To this day, DNA is still periodically involved in follow up work relating to this facility.

In addition to private sector work our activities have focussed on providing consultancy services to donor funded projects, generally for government bodies; initially in Asia and then gradually moving west with many projects in the Russian Federation, NIS countries, Middle East and Africa.

Recently we have focussed on the provision of consultancy services to oil and gas multi-nationals while still participating in occasional donor-funded projects.
