DNA established RWM.Global data service in 2020 to host information systems “at risk”. Over the years we saw good information systems developed by environmental projects disappear post-project because sustainability was not considered, and “built-in”, resulting in funds being no longer available post-project to keep them operating.
DNA, on its RWM.Global data servers, currently host the UN-Habitat WaCT Data Portal, and the GIZ WFD Data Portal. The WaCT data portal is hosted purely pro-bono for UN-Habitat, along with the provision of technical support to WaCT study teams. The WFD Data Portal hosting costs are currently covered by GIZ but ongoing development and technical support is provided pro-bono by DNA.
DNA is working with donor agencies with view to establishing a sustainable operating model for these services, but this is inevitably a time consuming process. In the meantime we are seeking sponsors to help support RWM.Global service provision.
